Fanfare to the Tongues of Fire (Larry King) - Anne Maria Lim (Pipe Organ) Ben Ang / Abyss Simian (Synthesizers)
This was filmed at a rehearsal for VCH Acoustic Shock, a programme in the Singapore Symphony Orchestra's VCH Presents Organ series, performed by pipe organist and Cathedral Scholar Anne Maria Lim and electronic musician Ben Ang (Abyss Simian) from Cosmic Armchair and NUS Electronic Music Lab.
This is a piece by the late Larry Peyton King, arranged by Anne Maria Lim and Ben Ang for pipe organ and electronics.
In 1978 Larry King composed ''Fanfare to the Tongues of Fire,'' a work designed to demonstrate a new organ stop known as trumpet-en-chamade. He also composed choral music, mass settings and anthems. (Source: NY Times)
