Ableton Push 2 Jam for 808 Day

 

Here's a jam I recorded on the Ableton Push 2 with the standard Ableton Live Core 808 Drum Kit and Audio Effects.

Every year on August 8th (8-08 in many calendars) "the global music community will come together to honor the iconic Roland TR-808 drum machine, an instrument that's inspired countless artists and changed the face of contemporary music. The events will take place on what’s been dubbed “808 Day,” and festivities can be tracked on social media with the hashtag #808day." I don't own a TR-808; this vintage analog synthesizer is out of my reach for the moment. But thanks to the wonders of digital audio workstations and samplers, I celebrate this day with a digital software version that this standard issue in Ableton Live and use the Ableton Push to tweak parameters (and audio effects) which make live 808 playing so much fun.
